MEET SANTA GRIZZ

Santa Grizz is more than a Santa; he's a storyteller, U.S. Army veteran, community volunteer, and Christmas ambassador who has been bringing joy to families since 1980.And like any good Santa story, this one started with a beard.After leaving the Army, Art “Grizz” Aldrich was more than happy to leave the daily shave behind. He grew out his beard, it became part of his signature look, and before long, a Santa suit found its way into the story. Santa Grizz was born and the beard has been on the nice list ever since.More than four decades later, Grizz still believes being Santa is about much more than wearing the red suit. It's about kindness, patience, giving back, and meeting people exactly where they are. From charitable and community events to intimate family visits, he brings an authentic Santa spirit to every appearance.Whether he's welcoming a newborn for their very first Christmas, sharing a special moment with a child of any ability, or bringing Christmas cheer to hundreds of guests at a community celebration, Grizz's goal is simple: leave people with a little more joy than they had when he arrived.After all, there's always room in Santa's sleigh for a little more kindness.

How far does Santa Grizz travel?

Santa Grizz is based in Arizona and is available for appearances throughout the state and beyond. Have sleigh, will travel! Send your event location through the contact form and Santa will let you know what’s possible.

How early should I book Santa?

The sooner, the merrier! November and December dates can fill quickly, especially weekends and the days closest to Christmas. If you have a special date in mind, reach out early.

What types of events does Santa Grizz attend?

Everything from cozy family visits to corporate parties, schools, community celebrations, veteran organizations, festivals, tree lightings, parades, charitable events, and special appearances. If Christmas magic is needed, Santa Grizz is happy to hear about it.

Can Santa bring gifts that we provide?

Absolutely. Gifts can be arranged ahead of Santa's arrival so he can make the delivery part of the experience. Just let Santa know what you have planned when you contact him.

Can we take our own photos?

Of course! Take as many photos as you'd like during your visit. Santa is very accustomed to cameras and after more than four decades in the red suit, he knows the drill.

Does Santa Grizz work with children who need extra time or space?

Yes. Every child experiences Santa differently. Grizz believes in patience and meeting children where they are whether they're ready for a big Santa hug, need a little extra time, or would rather enjoy the Christmas magic from a comfortable distance.

What should we have ready before Santa arrives?

If Santa will be handing out gifts, have them prepared and clearly labeled ahead of time. It also helps to have a comfortable place for Santa to sit, good lighting for photos, and a clear plan for where you'd like him to enter. Cookies are entirely optional…but sugar cookies have been known to improve sleigh performance.

How long can Santa stay?

Visits can vary depending on the event, from shorter family appearances to longer community and corporate events. Tell Santa what you're planning and approximately how many guests you're expecting, and you can work out the best visit length together.

How much does it cost to book Santa Grizz?
